I disagree with this view. It's not provisional once you have enough evidence. It's certain. Scientists do not own the process of reasoning, they depend on it. In other words, science depends on epistemology. In particular, you can do experiements, but if you don't have the right epistemology, then you will interpret them in a wrong way. (Your view is the widely accepted one, but I disagree with it.)
